I think A Bennet of Royal Blood popped up in my recommendations. When I read the summary, I knew I had to read it. Fortunately, it’s on Kindle Unlimited.

In this variation, one of the princes (son of King George III) marries the love of his life, who is an earl’s daughter (most specifically, the Earl of Jersey). However, he does not have permission from his father. For a year, he and his wife live at Netherfield. When he tells his father of his marriage a year later, his father demands that he have an annulment as the prince must marry a princess in a strategic, political marriage.

Unbeknownst to the prince, his wife was pregnant. So when he fails to return to her, she doesn’t tell him about the baby. Her best friend is Mrs. Bennet. Mrs. Bennet is there when she gives birth as Mrs. Bennet is also pregnant. Both go into labor about the same time. Mrs. Bennet has a stillborn son. The Lady gives birth to Elizabeth. As the Lady weakens, she requests that Mrs. Bennet switch their children and raise Elizabeth as her own.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In A Bennet of Royal Blood, Elizabeth grows up, believing herself to be a Bennet. What happens when she discovers she’s not? Will her father ever discover her? Read and find out!
Recommendation?
A Bennet of Royal Blood is a variation that I had not seen before. Not as long-winded as some of Shana Granderson’s other variations, this one is well worth the read. This one is on Kindle Unlimited.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Yes, I read a lot. But I enjoy reading and want to help you find books to read that you would enjoy.
