After all the cozy mysteries, I needed to take a turn back into the historical realm. I found A Duke to Elude in my Book Gorilla daily email. I knew I needed to read this one.

Lady Rosabel is the eldest daughter of the Earl of Sherton. Most of the Ton believe that she is the Sherton sister who said that she would wed a Duke, in fact that was her sister. Bel has no desire to become a duchess. She hates being in the spotlight.

James Allingham, the sixth Duke of Wexford, not only inherited a dukedom, but also is now an advisor to the ailing king. In his work for the king, Wexford investigates Lord Prescott, but what happens when Lady Rosabel is implicated in the schemes?

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In the book A Duke to Elude, while Rosabel has refused all other proposals, she is hesitant to cross Wexford off the list. He intrigues her. Wexford, on the other hand, is fighting his attraction to Lady Rosabel because he’s unsure of whether or not she’s involved in schemes against the crown- willingly or unwittingly. What will happen? Read this one to find out!
Recommendation?
This one is on Kindle Unlimited. It’s the start of a series and yes, I’ve read the next one too. This is a clean, sweet regency romance. I loved the dynamics between the sisters.
