Romance Variations

A Gentleman’s Honor by Melanie Rachel

I love Pride & Prejudice variations. Most have very similar tropes and couples. So when I read one that totally throws canon on its head (except for our dear couple of course), I’m either going to love it or hate it. A Gentleman’s Honor is another one that I love!

This variation starts during the Netherfield Ball. Darcy and Elizabeth dance and talk about Wickham. However, Elizabeth continues to question Mr. Darcy about Wickham and follows him to the library. Bingley arranges to meet Darcy there, but it is an attempt to compromise Darcy by both Bingleys. Fortunately, Elizabeth is there to prevent the compromise.

As a result, Darcy leaves Netherfield during the ball. The next day while Elizabeth is on her walk, two men abduct her. But who is behind the abduction all?

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In A Gentleman’s Honor, Elizabeth escapes her abductors, but will she be able to escape the rumors and the ruin of both her and her sisters?

This one is on Kindle Unlimited. Not all of Melanie Rachel’s stories are, so grab this one on KU while you can. If you like Pride & Prejudice variations with action and intrigue, then you’ll want to read this one.
