A Lord Undone by Rose Pearson

After finishing A Foolish Wager, it was onto A Lord Undone, which is the last book of the series. It tells the story of a new female and male character- Lady Beatrice Thornton and Frederick, Earl of Greaves. Yet, it also wraps up the story of Lady Emily Smithton and Lord Havisham.

A quote from A Lord Undone by Rose Pearson

Lady Beatrice is the daughter of Lord Burnley. At least that is what she has always believed. But Lady Beatrice finds herself at the center of gossip when her father, while in his cups, says that he believes that his wife played him false. Thus, the Ton gossips that Lady Beatrice is illegitimate!

Frederick, Earl of Greaves, arrives in London to discover that his younger brother is also in London. Presumably, he is there to find a wife and asks Frederick for help. Frederick is a very meticulous man, who expects perfection.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In A Lord Undone, Frederick first encounters Beatrice in his carriage when she hurls herself in after overhearing about the gossip surrounding her. At first, he thinks she’s too emotional. But is she really? How will they encounter one another again?

Recommendation?

This is on Kindle Unlimited. It is a good clean story. Don’t go in expecting spice and heat as there is none. This is the last story, but it not only tells Frederick and Beatrice’s story. Emily and Lord Havisham’s story also wraps up in this one.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
