A Shiver of Light by Laurell K. Hamilton

Amazon had a triple points day with their Kindle Rewards Points beta back in October and well, let’s just say I bought this whole dang series. I had to finish reading the series with A Shiver of Light. I needed to see where the author would end this.

This one starts with Merry appearing in the desert in a dream. She goes to one of the soldiers who helped her. Merry helps the soldier realize that she can heal herself.

Merry ends up having three babies, rather than just two. King Taranis still maintains that he is the father of Merry’s babies. As a result, they hire a geneticist to discover who the fathers are.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In A Shiver of Light, one of Merry’s men is assassinated. Merry, along with her other men, uncover the additional assassination plots. Taranis loses his throne because Merry strikes with one of her hands of power.

The ending of this one is quite abrupt. It just ends with the triplets’ full names and who their fathers are. The story is good in the sense that it wraps it all up, but it is definitely not one that I will reread.
