A Stroke of Midnight by Laurell K. Hamilton

Amazon had a triple points day with their Kindle Rewards Points beta and well, let’s just say I bought this whole dang series. After Seduced by Moonlight, I had to continue reading the series with A Stroke of Midnight. Isn’t it required to continue?

Merry is trying to get pregnant while dodging assassination attempts. In the last book, someone even spelled the queen to go crazy, forcing Merry to stop her.

Merry’s aunt Queen Andais offers her more guards to try to help her get pregnant. First, though, they have to deal with the fallout from the assassination attempt that occurred at the airport in the mortal realm.

In A Stroke of Midnight, Merry’s magic is changing, and with hers, many of the others in her guard. The Unseelie Court invites reporters into the sithen for a press conference about the assassination attempt. But then a demi-fey and a human photographer are killed. Who did it? Merry must figure it out.

Recommendation?

This book encompasses about two or three days. So it is a slow-moving story in terms of time, but yet, so much happens. I don’t think I could change anything, but we need to get Merry pregnant already!
