My Working on Me Book Club is reading Atomic Habits for August and part of September. So obviously I had to read it. Can I just say wow?! Y’all, I have over 128 highlighted quotes. This book is so full of practical advice. I love it.
Much like other books of this genre, Atomic Habits is a book that will take a few different read throughs to fully absorb. The book provides information about the four steps in a habit and how to create them for success.
BUT it’s not just about how to create good habits, but how to minimize the bad ones. I absolutely love that the author takes us through step by step exactly what to do and how to do it.
This book brings up lots of things to think about as you read it. My book club has a journal that we’re keeping as we read.
Atomic Habits starts with James Clear’s story about his last day of his sophomore year in high school. From there, he leads the reader through how to create a habit using specific methods. I HIGHLY recommend reading this book if you’ve been wanting to change your habits. Both the Kindle version (if you have a Fire, as the graphs present better) and the hardback are well worth it.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. I am very far behind on writing my blog posts. I’m trying to catch up, but it’s not easy!
