Romance Variations

Baby Blue Eyes by Elin Eriksen

I continued through my Pride and Prejudice variations binge with Baby Blue Eyes. I don’t think I have read a book by Elin Eriksen before, but I do think I’ve read some of her stories over on fanfiction.net.

This variation picks up with Mr. Darcy the summer after Netherfield Ball. Mr. Bingley decides to revisit Netherfield, even if it’s to release the lease on the estate. While Miss Bingley and Mr. Darcy both try to convince him that he shouldn’t, Mr. Bingley returns to Meryton. While there, he discovers that both Miss Bennet (Jane) and Miss Elizabeth are no longer in residence.

While Bingley is gone, Miss Bingley attempts to sneak into Mr. Darcy’s chambers, only to find that Mr Darcy warns her that she will NEVER achieve her desire of being the mistress of Pemberley.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Baby Blue Eyes, what happens when Mr. Bingley returns and tells Mr. Darcy that Jane and Elizabeth no longer live in Meryton? In fact, there was no sign of either of them. How does that change our dear Mr Darcy? Read and find out.

Recommendation?

Baby Blue Eyes is a variation similar to a few others I’ve read. While not in my top favorites of variations, this one is a good story. The connections that the Bennets have are ones that I have not seen in many other variations. This one is available on Kindle Unlimited.
