Cozy Mystery

Baby Broom by Sara Bourgeois

After Over the Broom, I just kept right on rolling and continued on to Baby Broom. I had borrowed this complete series in one book through Kindle Unlimited. That made it easy to keep right on reading.

A quote from Baby Broom by Sara Bourgeois

Time for baby! Yes, Brighton and Remy have a baby girl named Kinsley. When Brighton first moved to Coventry, she lamented that she had been unable to get pregnant with her first husband. Fortunately, she became pregnant quite quickly once she and Remy married.

At the beginning of Baby Broom, Brighton has Kinsley, a new little girl. The Skeenbauer witches ambush Brighton and Kinsley. They gather to christen Kinsley, or at least gift her with many witchly gifts. It made me think of Sleeping Beauty or An Ordinary Princess.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Baby Broom, after Kinsley receives her gifts, Brighton walks over with Kinsley to their family accountant’s office. Remy asked her to deliver some paperwork to him. Yet, once Brighton arrives, she discovers that the accountant is dead. She promptly calls Gunnar the sheriff. But shortly after arriving, he arrests Brighton! Who did it? Why are a bunch of Skeenbauer witches in jail? The only way you’ll know is if you read it and see!

Recommendation?

This one is available on Kindle Unlimited. Baby Broom is a light, cute, cozy, paranormal mystery. If you love a cozy mystery with magic involved, you’ll like this one. This one is short as well.
