I found Beauty and the Baller from an ad. Facebook and Goodreads knows me now- that’s for certain, because they are always giving me ads for books I want to read.
Nova Morgan sneaks into a party to grab the attention of her favorite quarterback. She had heard that he loved Star Wars so she dressed as Princess Leia in that outfit (yes, you know the one I’m talking about). Boy, does she catch his attention, which leads to a one night stand, that was pretty horrible.
Ronan Smith loses both his NFL career and his fiancee, due to a car accident. This causes him to spiral into lots of bad choices. After meeting a mysterious girl at a party, he makes her his for the night, but never sees her again (or so he thinks).
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Beauty and the Baller, after their one night stand, it jumps two years into the future. Nova returns to her hometown after her mother dies so she can take care of her sister, who is in high school. Guess who is her next door neighbor? You guessed it- Ronan! He’s the high school football coach.
Recommendation?
While there are some times that the book seems to drag, it’s still a good story. Plus, it’s on Kindle Unlimited so why not?
