My friends have been recommending that I check out audiobooks. Well, I had Beauty and the Beefcake by Pippa Grant downloaded through Audible so I decided to try it out. I especially wanted to try this one since I had read it before. Are you new to Pippa Grant? Want to know the reading order? Check it out here.
Ares Berger is the brother of Sia Berger, heroine of Mister McHottie. He is the twin of Zeus. Both are hockey players. Ares was traded to Copper Valley Thrusters a few short months before this book starts. Ares has a high ankle sprain at the beginning of the book, leaving him at a loss as he can’t be on the ice.
Felicity Murphy is the younger sister to Nick Murphy, hero of Charming as Puck and goalie of the Copper Valley Thrusters. Felicity is working on her Physical Therapist Assistant degree (her fourth or fifth degree so far). This leads to Nick bringing Ares to Felicity for help with healing.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Beauty and the Beefcake, Felicity has bad taste in men. Nick tortures all of Felicity’s exes, but that leads to it backfiring on Felicity every time. Nick convinces Ares to watch Felicity for him since she just broke up with her boyfriend. The scary part- Nick doesn’t know how badly Felicity needs to be watched since her ex is becoming abusive.
Felicity does nothing but talk- she’s a ventriloquist. Ares rarely talks. Mostly he uses GIFs and grunts. How do they handle being roommates? Read the book to find out!
As with each of Pippa Grant’s books, Beauty and the Beefcake should only be read while not drinking (because you will spit out your drink) and definitely not in a library as you will bust out laughing. Don’t get in trouble with the librarians! If you like a sitcom, but in book form, this is the perfect book for you. If you like high humor, this is the book for you. Trust me, all of us need a little light-hearted fun every now and then and this delivers. This one is on Kindle Unlimited and you should run to read it!

I write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book (published on Thursdays), one about a mystery book (published on Saturdays), and one about a romance book (published on Mondays). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, you’ll want to check it out!
