Blindsided by Amy Daws

I’m fairly certain that I found Blindsided through an ad. Many members of one of my Facebook groups that I’m in about books said great things about Amy Daws. So I had to borrow the book on Kindle Unlimited.

Freya Cook is a seamstress from Cornwall. She came to London to take the fashion world by storm. But her insecurities popped up, leading her to hide her talents for the most part. Instead of becoming a designer, she just works as a seamstress in a clothing boutique for two cool female designers.

Maclay Logan plays professional football for Bethnal Green FC. Since this is set in England, that means soccer. Now I don’t follow English football enough to know if this is a real football club. But I’m fairly certain some of Amy Daws’ other books connect to this one through this football club. Mac is from Scotland and a very fit and focused footballer at that.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Blindsided, Freya and Mac are best friends and have been for about a year. They go to a party and play Never Have I Ever. It’s there that Mac discovers that Freya is a virgin. He offers to help her learn how to talk to guys and all about sex. But will they be able to keep emotions out of it? Read it and see.

Blindsided is available on Kindle Unlimited. This connects to the Harris Brothers World, but I have not read those.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
