Born in Fire by K.F. Breene

Again, I can’t remember how I found Born in Fire. I think it might have been an Amazon recommendation. But it, for sure, was definitely a book I wanted to read.

A quote from Born in Fire by K. F. Breene

In this world, there are witches and warlocks, mages, shifters (weredogs, etc), merpeople, vampires, and demons. Reagan Somerset is a supernatural bounty hunter, who lives in New Orleans. She tries to live under the radar of those who live in the Realm. Yet, Reagan’s mark is stolen from her by a vampire.

Darius Durant is a vampire, an elder vampire, which means he’s been around a very long time. Darius stole Reagan’s bounty by taking her mark from her. Later, he issues an invitation to visit him in the Dungeon in the Realm (the magical world) for a job. Since the job offers Reagan fifty thousand dollars, she’s definitely taking him up on his invitation.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Born in Fire, Reagan takes the job working with vampires to find out who is hurting the unicorns and selling their blood. Yes, I said unicorns. The vampires take care of the unicorns. Talk about a switch. That means that Reagan and Darius get to know each other. But will Darius figure out Reagan’s secret? Read it and find out.

This book is on Kindle Unlimited. If you like witches, supernatural powers, etc, this is a book you should check out. There are more books in this series and yes, I had to keep reading!

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. I’m getting close to that this year already!
