Romance

By a Thread by Lucy Score

So I kind of, sort of fell in love with Lucy Score when I read The Price of Scandal. That story is part of the Bluewater Billionaires. I even joined her Facebook group Lucy Score’s Binge Readers Anonymous. So I started reading some of her back list. The first one I read was By a Thread.

Are you new to Lucy Score? Want to know all of her books? Check it out here.

A quote from By a Thread with Lucy Score

Ally Morales works hard to take care of her father. Since he needs constant medical care, she works many jobs, including serving at a pizza place. Ally is very proud and refuses to let anyone really know what she is going through, trying to keep all the balls in the air.

A quote from By a Thread with Lucy Score

Dominic Russo returns to the fold to help his mother with the fashion magazine that she edits. Dominic and his mother visit the pizza place where Ally works. Well, to say that sparks flew is an understatement. After Ally gets fired, due to her response to Dominic’s treatment of her, Dominic’s mother hires her to work at the magazine.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In By a Thread, Dominic and Ally continue to ruffle each other’s feathers. If you liked the movie The Devil Wears Prada and Pride and Prejudice, you’ll love this one. There are lots of Pride & Prejudice references, which means that I must love this grumpy boss romcom.

Recommendation?

Like all Lucy Score books that I’ve read so far, this one is simply amazing and is a MUST READ. I will say that it is a long book, but unlike other long books that I’ve read recently where I just want to skip pages, Lucy Score keeps me so entertained that I can’t skip a word! This one is on Kindle Unlimited, although I bought a copy because I know I’ll want to reread it over and over again.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
