Chaos in Death is the 33.5 story in the In Death series. It is part of The Unquiet anthology, which is why it’s a .5 story in the series. Even though it wasn’t listed in my Goodreads, I know I had read this one before.
After learning about the series for the first time back in 2001, I promptly read them all. At least, I read all of those books that had been released. But somewhere along the line, I stopped reading the current ones so I needed to go back and read the series again. That’s why I’m slowly re-reading these.
Eve and Peabody respond to a call where they found the bodies of three recovering addicts, who were squatting in a building. Each one had been killed with a different method. A message was left on the wall signed by Dr. Chaos.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Chaos in Death, the investigation uncovers a witness who describes the killer, but one must keep an open mind while viewing it. Eve uses her experts (Dr. Mira, Louise, Trina) to try to figure out how the killer is changing their appearance. Who is the killer? Read it and find out!
Recommendation?
Chaos In Death is NOT available on Kindle Unlimited. But it’s still a good story. Plus, the other stories are quite interesting as well.
