I have started listening to books that I’ve read before (only way that I can do an audiobook). I was able to get Chasing Fire as an audiobook on Chirp on sale. But I had to reread it as well since listening doesn’t allow me to grab quotes!
Rowan Tripp is a smoke jumper in Montana. She followed in her father’s footsteps by becoming a Zulie. The season before, one of her jump partners toggled the wrong way and ended up in the fire. Coming back the next season, Rowan still has nightmares.
Gulliver Curry is a rookie in the Zulie unit. He has spent time in California as a hotshot, but he wanted to jump into the fires. He hankers after Rowan, causing her to question her own rules about sleeping with unit members.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Chasing Fire, Rowan deals with a crazy coworker who blames Rowan for her jump partner’s death. Dolly, one of the cooks for the base, spreads pig’s blood all over Rowan’s room at base camp. But when Dolly turns up dead, what will happen?
This book is available wherever you buy books. This is one that I own a hardback copy, a Kindle copy, and an audio copy. The audio book is fantastic with the narrator doing a good job with the various voices.

I write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book (published on Thursdays), one about a mystery book (published on Saturdays), and one about a romance book (published on Mondays). This one is a romance so if you’re a romance lover, you’ll want to check it out!
