So you may not know this, but I’m a huge fan of fanfiction. I originally read this book and its sequel when it was on fanfiction.net as Clipped Wings and Inked Armor under Twilight fanfiction. However, I didn’t realize that the author had pulled it and changed things to prepare it for publication. But I’m not surprised as it was really well-written.
Tenley Page is a graduate student who works at a bookstore called Serendipity. She is quiet and reads eleventh century literature for fun.
Hayden Stryker is a tattoo artist, whose tattoo parlor is across the street from his aunt’s bookstore, Serendipity. He notices Tenley almost right away and tries everything he can to catch her attention.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Clipped Wings, Tenley and Hayden both have tragic pasts. Tenley comes to Chicago to work on her master’s degree trying to escape her past. Will she escape it or will it come back to haunt her?
Recommendation?
Warning: this book ends on a cliffhanger. But bonus, the sequel is already out! This one is so good and I highly recommend reading it. It is NOT on Kindle Unlimited, but it is worth buying.
