I can’t remember exactly how I found Cloudy with a Chance of Witchcraft, but when the name reminded me of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, I couldn’t resist.
Poppy Proctor is an almost forty year old wife and mother. Well, that is until her husband drops a bombshell on her, saying he doesn’t love her anymore. He asks her for a divorce in the middle of a fancy restaurant. After he admits that he’s had affairs over the 19 years of their marriage, Poppy decides that she doesn’t want him anymore.
Six months later, Poppy returns to Grimm Cove where she spent the summers with her grandparents. She, along with her friends Dana and Marcy, move to live in Poppy’s grandparents’ house. But on her way there, Poppy runs into her ex-boyfriend Brett when she taps a tree in his front yard.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Cloudy with a Chance of Witchcraft, Poppy is afraid to trust Brett after how they broke up when she was in college. What happens when he tells her that he’s a wolf shifter and she’s his mate? Read it and find out.
This is the first book of the Grimm Cove series. While this is a light, fluffy novel, I do wish it went a little deeper with the characters. BUT it is still worth the read, especially as it is on Kindle Unlimited.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a fantasy so if you’re a fantasy lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
