Crossed in Love by Cassandra Leigh

I kept right on with my Pride & Prejudice binge read with Crossed in Love. This is another by Cassandra Leigh. Since I had just read Unconsciously Done and Remembrances by her, I thought that it would be good to try another of hers. This one is different though as it’s a crossover between Pride & Prejudice and Northanger Abbey.

Okay, so I have to add a caveat. I haven’t actually read Northanger Abbey. I’ve heard a lot about it, but it just hasn’t made it to the top of my TBR list yet. However, I don’t feel like you have to know the story to appreciate this one.

A quote from Crossed in Love by Cassandra Leigh

Crossed in Love is a story focused on Jane Bennet. Having been deserted by Mr. Bingley, she goes to London with her aunt and uncle. Once there, she meets Rev. James Morland, the eldest of ten children and a curate to his father’s parish. All of James’s older relatives and friends conspire to match him with Jane.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Crossed in Love, while the story is focused on James and Jane, it still does show Elizabeth and Darcy. Elizabeth goes to Hunsford and returns with Darcy. You’ll have to read to find out more.

Crossed in Love is an interesting take on the Bingley and Jane storyline. If Bingley really had loved Jane, no one would have been able to convince him to leave her like Darcy and his sisters did. Thus is why this author pairs Jane with James Morland instead. This is on Kindle Unlimited.
