I actually read Shadowblade Academy: Darkness Calls first before I read the Briarwitch Academy series. I didn’t realize that the second book Darkness Rising came out in April! The third came out yesterday. (You better believe that I’m reading that one soon!)
Coralia Hargrave plays Shadowball with the rest of Hudson’s Glove (yes, it’s still called that, even though Hudson was fired at the end of Darkness Calls). The team is in the finals. Will they be the champs?
After winning, Coralia expends some residual energy with Venn. But it’s not long before the group is pulled into another adventure. They travel to Dax’s home to find out what is going on after Desmona contacts them through her messenger, the bearded dragon Yoshi.
In Darkness Rising, Coralia, along with the remaining members of Hudson’s Glove, travel to the Appalachian jungle. There they met Dax’s shifter clan. Something is causing problems in the forest. What is going on?
Recommendation?
If you’re a fan of fantasy stories and especially if you liked Briarwitch Academy, then you need to read this one. There is a major twist at the end so trust me, you’ll want to read this one. This does have a cameo of Levia from Dragon Shifter Dominion and her mates. This is on Kindle Unlimited and soon I’ll be reading the next one!
