Debating with the Duke by Alexa Aston

Time to return to the series The Second Sons of London. I love historical romances so I decided that it was time to revisit the series. Next up is Debating with the Duke. We got a hint of who the male main character would be when Everett showed up at the end of Educated by the Earl.

Major Everett Wayland is the younger son of the Duke of Camden. His older brother Mervyn was a licentious rake. Yet, when he is murdered, Everett must leave the battlefield and join the Marriage Mart as a newly titled Duke.

Lady Adalyn Goulding is the cousin of Lady Tessa from Educated by the Earl. She made her come out, but let it be known that she wasn’t interested in marrying yet. After seeing Tessa with her daughter Analise, Adalyn longs for a family. Both she and Louisa decide to find husbands this season.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In the book Debating with a Duke, Everett meets both Adalyn and Louisa at Spencer and Tessa’s. Everett first thinks that Louisa would be the perfect duchess for him as she is serene and calm. But it is Adalyn’s fire and determination that attract Everett’s attention. Will he understand his feelings? Will he be able to effectively woo his choice? Read and find out!

Recommendation?

This one is on Kindle Unlimited. I can’t wait to read the ones that have been added to the series since I read them last year. If you’re a fan of the opposites attract trope, then you’re going to want to read this one! I highly recommend these if you are a fan of historical romances.
