Amazon had a triple points day with their Kindle Rewards Points beta back in October and well, let’s just say I bought this whole dang series. I had to continue reading the series with Divine Misdemeanors. But I really felt like the series ended with Swallowing Darkness.
Merry is pregnant with twins with six fathers- Doyle, Frost, Mistral, Rhys, Sholto, and Galen. All of them live in L.A.- well, Sholto travels as he’s king of the sluagh. Merry works with the Grey and Hart Detective Agency.
The L.A. police detective Lucy calls Merry into a crime scene as they suspect there’s something fey about it. This is especially because the murder victims are all demi-fey.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Divine Misdemeanors, Merry works with the police to figure out who is killing demi-fey in Los Angeles. She and her men live in Maeve Reed’s mansion. Barinthus causes some problems for Merry during this one. This one takes place completely in Los Angeles. Not much about the faerie courts is talked about.
With Cel being killed in Swallowing Darkness, that story arc is finished. This seems like it’s just extra as nothing about Merry claiming the throne or King Taranis being charged with the rape of Merry occurs. I’m not certain that it’s necessary to read this one. But I do have one more to read.
