Eastside Hedge Witch by T.J. Deschamps

I got Eastside Hedge Witch for free on the Witchy Stuff Your Kindle Day on January 27th. I had been eyeing this one for a while. When the female main character is over 40, I have to at least attempt to read it.

A quote from Eastside Hedge Witch by T.J. Deschamps

Miriam Diaz is out for a run early in the morning when she spots a hellhound in her neighbor’s yard. While she’s a powerful witch, she hasn’t been practicing. But she gathers herself enough to banish the hound. That sets off her worry that His Creepiness (her name for Lucifer) will discover that she is still alive.

A quote from Eastside Hedge Witch by T.J. Deschamps

Miriam has a teenage daughter Jada, who is part witch and part goddess as her father was a demigod. When he developed cancer, he Ascended so Miriam is raising Jada on her own, while trying to stay under the radar.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Eastside Hedge Witch, Miriam hasn’t been hiding just from Lucifer, but the Archangel of the territory. But after she banishes the hellhound, a wolf comes to visit. It’s none other than Gabriel, the Archangel of the territory and her husband’s best friend. What will happen?

Recommendation?

I did put this one down once or twice, but I did finish it within 24 hours (but then I finish most fiction books within 24 hours). There are at least two more in the series and I’m still trying to determine if I’m going to read the rest. These are not on Kindle Unlimited, but I did get this one for free and the next one for 99 cents. If you like magic with all kinds of creatures (shifters, sirens, witches, fae, angels, demons, etc), then you’ll want to check this one out.

I write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a fantasy so if you’re a fantasy lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
