When I discovered that Jennifer Armentrout had a new book coming out that is not connected to From Blood and Ash, I still had to snap Fall of Ruin and Wrath up.
Calista (known as Lis) lives in the court of the Baron of Archwood as a courtesan. Her intuition serves as her way of staying alive. The Baron protects her because she gives him information. Lis gets information from touching someone.
Calista overhears two people talking about someone that they have captured. Her intuition tells her that she needs to check it out so she sneaks out. When Lis saves him (without knowing who he is), she doesn’t realize she shares a past with him.
In Fall of Ruin and Wrath, we’re introduced to a whole new world. This takes place in our world well into the future after lots of things happen. Lis grows up with Grady. They make their way together after the orphanage. But what happens when Lis meets Thorne? Read it and find out!
Recommendation?
I’m going to warn you now- this ends on a cliffhanger. There’s no date for the next book as of yet, but this is an incredible world. I honestly have no idea which way she is going to take this world as I can see at least three ways it could go, but I can’t wait to see which way she does!
