I’m not sure how I found Fated by Rebecca Zanetti. It might have been in an email from Amazon. I often get those emails, which just increase my TBR list. However I found it, I’m glad that I did.
Janie, Cara’s four year old daughter, wakes her urgently and tells her mom that they have to go because the bad guys are coming. Cara knows her daughter sees things, but she thinks it’s just a dream until he crashes into the room.
Talen Kayrs is a vampire, but not like the vampires that you are used to. He is over 300 years old and serves as the general in charge of security for the Realm. The Realm includes the vampires, the Kurjus (the bad guys that are like vampires), shifters, and more.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Fated, Talen discovers that Cara is his fated mate when a brand appears on his palm when he touches her. Vampires (who are always male and are born, not made) mate with women who have enhanced abilities. Cara is an empath, so she fits the bill. But will they fall in love? Will the Kurjans capture Cara? Read it and see.
Recommendation?
This book is on Kindle Unlimited. If you like science and fantasy intertwined, you will love this one. This is the start of a series called Dark Protectors. The series features fated mates.
