With the Summer Kindle Challenge came the prompt to read a book by a Hispanic author for Hispanic Heritage Month. I chose to read From Lukov with Love by Mariana Zapata because it looked interesting and reminded me of The Cutting Edge, one of my favorite movies.

Jasmine Santos is an ice skater. She started off as a singles skater but then moved to pairs. Her partner dumped her without even telling her about it, letting her find out on social media. So she’s been skating and lowering her training times for a year.

Ivan Lukov is the skating world’s darling. He’s been a pairs skater who has won with multiple partners. But he’s never partnered with Jasmine before, but he wants to now.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
From Lukov With Love tells the story of Jasmine and Ivan and their skating partnership. Ivan asks Jasmine to be his partner for one year. The story goes through the seasons with them.
Recommendation?
If you liked the movie The Cutting Edge, then you’ll want to read From Lukov With Love. How they met and became partners is such a good story. This is a VERY slow burn so don’t expect any steam until almost the end of the book.
