Hail Mary kept popping up in my Facebook news feed. I couldn’t help but read it, especially after reading the scene that accompanied the ad. But little did I know that it was the fourth of the Red Zone Rivals books! So now I have to go back and read the other three.
Mary Silver lives across the street from The Pit, the home of some football players for North Boston University. She feels fortunate to have found somewhere close to the tattoo shop at which she apprentices with cheap rent. The only downfall is in that house across the street lives the guy who broke her heart in high school. Thus, she avoids him as much as possible.
Leo Hernandez is the star running back for North Boston University. He attended high school with Mary, but doesn’t even realize it. Leo is fascinated by Mary, even though she won’t give him the time of day.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Hail Mary, Mary’s house must undergo repairs so she has no home for some time. Leo discovers this and offers a room in The Pit to Mary as one of his housemates was drafted into the NFL and his room is open. Can Mary survive living with Leo, the guy who broke her heart in high school? Will Leo finally figure out who Mary actually is?
Recommendation?
This is on Kindle Unlimited. If you liked the movie A Cinderella Story, this one will be right up your alley. This starts much like the movie, but it then skips in time. It’s a great story that makes me want to read the first three in this series!
