Harley Merlin and the Challenge of Chaos by Bella Forrest

After finishing Clockwork Alchemist, I immediately headed back to Harley to find out what was going on with her. This time, it was Harley Merlin and the Challenge of Chaos. Katherine is getting dangerously close to being a child of Chaos.

At the end of the Detector Fix, Jacob was in a coma. Imogene, okay, really, Katherine had put him there. Now Harley is in the coven with Katherine and has NO idea!

This book goes back and forth between Harley and Katherine’s point of view. I gotta say, I’m so not a fan of getting inside Katherine’s head.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

Harley Merlin and the Challenge of Chaos starts with Harley in Imogene’s office with her. Of course, we as the readers know it’s Katherine, but Harley doesn’t. Harley is frustrated, but still is wary of sharing her thoughts with everyone. She works hard to push everyone away because she’s terrified of what might happen.

Katherine has plans and backups for her plans. The last ritual is here. Will Harley be able to stop Katherine from becoming a Child of Chaos? Want to know what else happens? Read the book!

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
