Harley Merlin and the Detector Fix by Bella Forrest

After Harley being declared a criminal by Levi and jumping through a portal with Finch, I had to keep reading, right? So onward to Harley Merlin and the Detector Fix. I jumped straight into this one, even though I really should be reading Clockwork Alchemist.

Harley, Finch, and Jacob all portalled out at the end of the last book. Levi wanted to lock up Harley and Finch in Purgatory. Why won’t they learn that the only one who can stop Katherine is Harley?

This book goes back and forth between Harley and Jacob’s point of view. That becomes very important at the end. Jacob meets his dad in this book. Poor soul. A lot of the magicals are orphans, or so it seems.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

Harley Merlin and the Detector Fix starts with Finch, Jacob, and Harley arriving at the Smiths’ and Harley having to explain how they got there. From there, Finch and Harley, with Jacob in tow, go looking for ways to find out information about what is going on in the SDC. Fortunately, Finch knows a Morph who sneaks into the SDC using a mouse. Wade notices the mouse and meets up with Harley and Finch at Waterfront Park.

Recommendation?

Thanks to Kayla for recommending this series to me. I absolutely love this series and as soon as I finish Clockwork Alchemist, I’ll be right back to it. If you like magic where people can control different elements, then this one is for you! Harley Merlin and the Detector Fix is no longer available on Kindle Unlimited. You can get it through the Bella Forrest website.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
