Harley Merlin and the Mortal Pact by Bella Forrest

Of course, I had to read Harley Merlin and the Mortal Pact right after I finished Challenge of Chaos. I mean, it is the final chapter of the story about Katherine. Will Harley save everything?

At the end of the Challenge of Chaos, Katherine ascended as she had defeated Gaia to become Eris. However, her body isn’t capable of holding that much Chaos and that’s where Harley comes in. Harley purged her first Purge Beast, but it wasn’t normal, by any means.

This book goes back and forth between Harley and Finch with a little of Katherine thrown in. Still not a fan of getting inside Katherine’s head. But it’s the final countdown with this story arc.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

Harley Merlin and the Mortal Pact begins with all the magicals no longer having access to Chaos. That means no magic for them. They have to figure out how to face Katherine with no magic whatsoever. Luckily, they have Alton with them as his magical knowledge is very helpful.

They travel multiple places, thanks to Raffe’s djinn Kadar. They even visit one fo my favorite sites- Stonehenge. But how does it all go down? Want to know what else happens? Read the book!

Recommendation?

Thanks to Kayla for recommending this series to me. I absolutely love this series. The way this one finished up this story arc was pretty amazing. Check it out! If you like magic where people can control different elements, then this one is for you! Harley Merlin and the Mortal Pactis no longer available on Kindle Unlimited. You can get it through the Bella Forrest website.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
