I was very fortunate to get an Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) of Nora Roberts’s new book, Inheritance, which comes out in November. It’s the first of her new trilogy.
Sonya MacTavish gets frustrated with wedding planning and decides to go home, rather than go to a florist appointment. When she arrives home, she finds her fiance in bed with her cousin. So not cool. Being the strong woman that she is, Sonya kicks her fiance out the door. Unfortunately, she works with him. The fiance is vindictive and irritating, which forces Sonya to resign from her job.
Enter Oliver Doyle the II, also known as Deuce. Deuce’s best friend, Collin Poole was Sonya’s father (Andrew)’s long lost twin that Andrew never knew he had. Deuce discovered Andrew while doing genealogical research. Serving as Collin’s attorney, Deuce shows up on Sonya’s doorstep to let her know that she is her uncle’s heir.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Inheritance, when Sonya moves into the house left to her by her uncle, well, let’s just say it’s a little haunted. Trey, son of Deuce, helps Sonya get acclimated to her new house. Will Sonya stay in the house?
Recommendation?
This book releases on November 21st. If you like Nora Roberts books, especially her trilogies like The Circle Trilogy and The Key Trilogy, you’ll want to read this one. This one does not have the HEA for Trey and Sonya at the end. The adventure of the Lost Brides will continue in the next story. (But trust me, you want to read this one.)
