Interlude in Death by J.D. Robb

I’ve been slowly rereading the In Death series, intermingled with other books. Interlude in Death follows Betrayal in Death. This story originally published as part of an anthology called Out of This World.

After learning about the series the first time back in 2001, I promptly read them all. At least, I read all of those books that had been released. But somewhere along the line, I stopped reading the current ones so I have needed to go back and read the series again. That’s why I’m re-reading these.

Lieutenant Eve Dallas is a New York City homicide detective in 2059. As a result of her closing some tough cases, Eve has been asked to speak at a police conference. Unfortunately for her, it takes place at the Olympus resort in space. Eve hates space travel.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Interlude in Death, retired Commander Skinner tries to take down Roarke for the sins of his father. Dead bodies pile up. Eve must work along with the Chief of the Olympus Resort to solve the case. But is the culprit who we think it is? Read it and find out with Eve!

Recommendation?

This story is #12.5 of J.D. Robb’s In Death series. It takes place right after Betrayal in Death. It features many of our favorite characters, like Peabody and Dr. Mira.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a mystery so if you’re a mystery lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
