Jace by Alisa Woods is my second book for 2021. It’s part of the Riverwise Private Security Firm series. Each book’s title is the name of a River brother. This one picks up right where Jaxson left off.

Jace River is younger brother to Jaxson. He’s a wolf that refuses to shift. In this book, we finally find out why Jace refuses to shift. Jace was an Army medic with a colorful past.

Piper Wilding is part of the Wilding pack. She works in counterintelligence. Not a normal wolf in that she refuses to deal with most of her family. Still, she sneaks into the Riverwise safe house to find her brother, Daniel. She’s worried about her other brother Noah as he’s disappeared.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
Piper breaks into the safe house and runs into Jace first. It seems her brother Noah is missing. She’s worried that something has happened to them. She’s looking for her brother Daniel. Daniel and she have a very contentious relationship. This causes Daniel to not believe his sister. Piper is determined to find her brother and Jace is determined to stick by her side.
Recommendation?
This book was well-written. I loved that the storyline just continued straight from Jaxson (and yes, there’s more than I said in my summary, but you’ll have to read it to find out!). It has good action- both in physical as well as sexual. While Jace by Alisa Woods was only my second book, I will be reading more. In fact, I will be reading Jared next.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
