Kindred in Death is the next book in the In Death series. I’m really getting to the books that I’ve only read once and don’t really remember. This one is one that I remembered bits and pieces, but definitely not who did it.
After learning about the series for the first time back in 2001, I promptly read them all. At least, I read all of those books that had been released. But somewhere along the line, I stopped reading the current ones so I needed to go back and read the series again. That’s why I’m re-reading these.
Eve Dallas is supposed to have the day off. She spends time with Roarke until she’s called in. Yep, Eve gets the call because the father of the victim is also a police officer and requests Eve as primary. The victim this time is a young girl, who was friends with Jamie Lingstrom. That means that Jamie is also in this book.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Kindred in Death, Eve has to figure out who killed the sixteen-year-old daughter of the newly promoted police captain. Was it related to a current case of his or maybe something in his past? Will someone else die before Eve can figure it out? Read it and find out!
Recommendation?
Kindred In Death is NOT available on Kindle Unlimited. This book is #29 of J.D. Robb’s In Death series. I loved that we learned that Jamie is in college and that Roarke is providing a scholarship for Jamie. Of course, Roarke wants Jamie to come work for him, but Jamie’s heart is set on being a cop.
