Suddenly You is my first novel by Lisa Kleypas, but it wasn’t my last. I found Mine Till Midnight last August. Since I hadn’t bought it, I think it must have been on Kindle Unlimited, but I’m honestly not sure how I read it. But I had to read it again.
Amelia Hathaway is the second eldest of the Hathaways. After a series of tragedies, Leo, Amelia’s older brother, inherits the title of Lord Ramsey. Having already lost their parents and with Leo and their slightly younger sister Win having just recovered from a fever, Amelia sells their house in Primrose Place to move to the house that comes with the title.
Cam Rohan is a Roma, a gypsy. But he’s only half so he has been living as the manager of a gambling club. Amelia comes looking for her brother at the club and meets Cam. Cam helps her find Leo. He kisses her, thinking they would never meet again.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In the book Mine Till Midnight, Cam and Amelia meet once again when Amelia is walking near the Ramsey estate. Cam is visiting a friend and runs to protect Amelia from the rocket launch that she almost walks directly into the path of. That starts a series of run-ins between Amelia and Cam. What will happen with them? Read and find out!
Recommendation?
This book is not on Kindle Unlimited now. However, I would not let that deter me from reading this one. It is well worth the price. The development of the characters and their relationship is superb. This one does get steamy (definitely not a fade-to-black situation), so if you’re looking for a clean, historical romance, this one is not for you!
