Natural Mage by K.F. Breene

Natural Mage is the next book in the Demon Days, Vampire Nights series. While this does have Reagan and Darius in it, they aren’t the main characters, but supporting ones. This one features Penny Bristol, the witch that Reagan found cowering in the closet at that church.

In this world, there are witches and warlocks, mages, shifters (weredogs, etc), merpeople, vampires, and demons. Penny Bristol is not just a witch. She is a natural mage. Penny can pull elements out of the air around her to create spells, instead of relying on ingredients that have been collected. There are few natural mages out there, like Emery.

Emery left Penny behind at the end of Natural Witch because he doesn’t think he’s good enough for Penny. We find out at the beginning of Natural Mage that he’s been sending Penny power rocks from his travels.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Natural Mage, Dizzy and Callie train Penny, but it’s not working. Penny learned from Emery so much better than she does from the dual mages. But alas, Emery left her. Callie introduces Penny to other mages in New Orleans, including John. But she isn’t impressed by any of them. It’s finally decided that Reagan will train Penny, although Penny hasn’t figured out what Reagan is exactly. Will Emery return? Will the mages capture Penny? Read it and see!
