I’m not sure how I found One Dance with a Duke. I had read others by Tessa Dare since my sister had given me some of her books for my birthday in 2021. I think it might have been on sale and on my daily email.
Lady Amelia D’Orsay is the only daughter with five brothers. Well, she had five brothers until they lost their brother Hugh in the war. Now she’s trying not to lose her brother Jack to his gambling debts.
Spencer Dumarque, the Duke of Morland, is also known as the Duke of Midnight. He shows up at balls at midnight. He chooses one lady to dance with and then disappears.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In One Dance with a Duke, instead of letting Spencer choose her at midnight during the ball, Amelia forces his hand and makes him dance with her. She wants to talk to him about the money that Jack owes him. Jack explained to her that in order to pay off his debts, that their family trip to their family cottage would be cancelled. Instead, they would let out the cottage. So Amelia wants to get Spencer to forgive Jack’s debts. But then Spencer carries her out of the ball. What happens when they leave the ball together?

This is NOT on Kindle Unlimited. It’s the start of a series. There are three men in the Stud Club. Two more books are in the series. These are steamy! So don’t expect them to be a clean romance.
