The BookGorilla email listed Primrose & Poison as a book available for only 99 cents. As it was the first of the series and it included magic, I had to get it.
Astrid Atwood lost her job in the city. Thus, she is on her way home, somewhere she hasn’t been in many, many years. She arrives on her birthday. Attie isn’t sure that her mother will remember, so she stops by the local bakery.
Things changed in Raven Bay while Attie was in the city. While Attie didn’t want to believe it at first, things definitely changed. When she arrives at her mother’s store, she sees a cheerleader who asks for blue roses.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Primrose & Poison, Astrid comes to grips with the knowledge that she’s a witch who sees ghosts. When she sees her best friend Rachel at her birthday party that her mother is throwing her, Astrid doesn’t realize that Rachel is a ghost. But Attie learns that she needs to help find who killed Rachel. Will she discover who did it or be killed herself?
Primrose & Poison is available on Kindle Unlimited, but it is also only 99 cents currently. It’s the first in the Raven Bay Mysteries series. If you like cozy mysteries and especially cozy mysteries with witchcraft, you’ll want to check this one out.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a mystery so if you’re a mystery lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
