I found Project Duchess through Book Gorilla. I think Who Wants to Marry a Duke was on sale. That’s book 3 in the Duke Dynasty series. So of course I had to buy the first one. Luckily, it was only 99 cents.

The Duchess of Armitage has married and buried three husbands, all of whom bore the title of Duke at the time of their death. This series is about her children. She gave birth to three future dukes as well as a daughter and an additional son. Project Duchess concerns her eldest son, Fletcher “Grey” Pryde, 5th Duke of Greycourt.

Beatrice Wolfe has always lived in the country. Her father died in a duel when she was young. That resulted in her growing up with her grandparents. Once her grandparents passed, it was Uncle Armie, who took care of her.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In the book Project Duchess, Beatrice meets Grey when Grey comes to Armitage Hall after the death of his stepfather, who was also Beatrice’s uncle. Grey’s brother, Sheridan suspects that Beatrice’s brother, Joshua killed the former duke, Sheridan’s father. Sheridan requests that Grey help him solve the mystery. Beatrice and Grey are thrown together often. What happens when sparks fly? Read this one to find out!
Recommendation?
Project Duchess is available on Kindle currently for $0.99 (in the US). Don’t go into this one expecting a clean romance. Beatrice is as feisty as the Shakespeare heroine who shares her name and just as passionate. There are sexy times, but only after they get to know one another. This is not one of those where they immediately jump into bed with one another.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
