I’ve been slowly rereading the In Death series, intermingled with other books. Purity in Death follows Reunion in Death. This story mentions events that happened in Loyalty in Death.

After learning about the series the first time back in 2001, I promptly read them all. At least, I read all of those books that had been released. But somewhere along the line, I stopped reading the current ones so I have needed to go back and read the series again. That’s why I’m re-reading these.

Eve stalls leaving the office to go to a dinner deal with Roarke. Because of that, she is there when Troy Trueheart calls in. He had responded to a call for assistance by a lady, who shouted out the window. When Officer Trueheart stunned the man, the man died. This forces Eve to clear Trueheart’s name and badge.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Purity in Death, people are dying and Eve needs to figure out what is causing the deaths. When it seems that it’s computer related, of course, Roarke ends up in the middle of her investigation. Will they be able to figure it out?
Recommendation?
This story is #15 of J.D. Robb’s In Death series. It takes place right after Reunion in Death. This one has figures who escaped prosecution in Loyalty in Death.

My plan for 2022 is to write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a mystery so if you’re a mystery lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
