In one of the Facebook groups I’m in, someone recommended Queen Takes Knights and the rest of the series. After finishing the Merry Gentry series, I decided to go back to this series and borrowed Queen Takes Queen. First, I did a reread of the first two books.
Shara Dalton knows now that she is a vampire queen. Her knights (also called her Blood) showed up in the first and second books, but she also found her king in the second book.
Yet, in the second book, the queen of Mexico City invited Shara to visit her at her nest. Gina, Shara’s Consiliarius helps her decide whether to visit Mayte or not.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Queen Takes Queen, Shara spends time with each of her men (she has six and adds more during the book), learning more about them. Xin reveals more of himself to her. Keisha Skye attempts to attack her through ants. However, Shara is warned in time to grow Morrigan’s Grove around her nest.
If you’re a fan of vampires and reverse harems (ahem there are now more than six guys with her in this book), you’ll want to check this one out. It is on Kindle Unlimited. The fourth book will be read soon. If you’re not a fan of blood play, you’ll want to skip this one.

I write three blog posts a week- one about a fantasy book, one about a mystery book, and one about a romance book (with some posts about series thrown in). This one is a fantasy so if you’re a fantasy lover, then you’ll want to check it out!
