While I’m waiting for the next Bree Taggert book to come out (it comes out in January), I switched over to the Morgan Dane series that does connect to the Bree Taggert. The first book of that series is Say You’re Sorry.
Morgan Dane is a widowed mother of three girls. While deployed overseas, her husband died. Now she must figure out how to care for her girls while working.
Lance Kruger is an ex-cop turned private detective. When Morgan decided to take her neighbor’s case, she turned to Lance to help her prove that the neighbor didn’t murder Tessa.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Say You’re Sorry, Morgan turns down the position as assistant prosecutor and becomes a defense attorney. While her family has always been on the police side of the legal system, Morgan can’t resist the pleas of her neighbor to help Nick, the neighbor who is suspected of killing Tessa. But who did? Will Morgan and Lance be able to figure it out?

Say You’re Sorry is available on Kindle Unlimited. It’s the first in the Morgan Dane series. While this does connect to the Bree Taggert series, you don’t have to read that series first. If you’re a fan of mysteries and thrillers, you want to read this one!
