Seducing a Stranger is a book that was recommended to me by Amazon, I think. However I found it, it piqued my interest. Since it is on Kindle Unlimited, I, of course, downloaded it.
Prudence Goode is the second eldest daughter of a Baron, who is also a police commissioner. Soon, she will marry, but she just discovered that her fiancé is a rake, who has had multiple affairs. Pru decides that she will have one night of passion of her own before she marries.
Sir Carlton Morley is the chief inspector of the Scotland Yard. He’s also known as Knight of Shadows. One of his cases regards two dead Stags of St James. Carlton visits the garden where the Stags do their business. Who falls into his lap, but Prudence?
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In the book Seducing a Stranger, after their one night of passion where they didn’t even exchange names, what happens when Carlton runs into Prudence at her wedding of all places? But her groom is lying there with a knife in his neck. Prudence is holding the murder weapon. Is she the murderer? What happens? Read this one to find out!
Recommendation?
Seducing a Stranger is on Kindle Unlimited. BUT I thought since it was the first book in the Goode Girls, I would be okay reading it without reading the Victorian Rebels. Yet, after reading this one and the next one, I went back to Victorian Rebels #1. Trust me, even though they aren’t on Kindle Unlimited, it’s worth it to read them first before this one.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
