Seduction on a Snowy Night

After finishing The Bachelor, I wanted to read the story that went between that story and Project Duchess. That story is in included in this anthology- Seduction on a Snowy Night. This anthology contains three short stories, all centered around a snowy night.

A quote from A Christmas Abduction by Madeline Hunter- a short story in the anthology Seduction on a Snowy Night

The first story was A Christmas Abduction by Madeline Hunter. In this one, tradition is turned on its head as the woman who abducts the man. Caroline Dunham abducts Baron Thornhill when her sister names him as the father of her child. Since their father is dead, it falls to Caroline to force Baron Thornhill’s hand. Yet, the attraction between them is unstoppable.

The second story in the anthology- Seduction on a Snowy Night is the one related to Duke Dynasty. A Perfect Match tells the story of Colonel Lord Heywood Wolfe and Cassandra Isles. Cassandra is the cousin of Heywood’s commanding officer and best friend. Heywood and Cassandra learned of each other through letters, although Heywood thought the letters were written by her cousin. It was because of those letters, he came to find Cassandra’s cousin and court her. What happens when he discovers that not all is as it seems?

A quote from One Wicked Winter Night- a short story in the anthology Seduction on a Snowy Night

The final story in the anthology- Seduction on a Snowy Night is One Wicked Winter Night by Mary Jo Putney. Lady Diana Lawrence returns from her travels. She attends her niece’s masquerade ball and even dances with her niece. A masked corsair whisks her away to dance. When she discovers that she knows the corsair, what will she do?

Recommendation?

I highly recommend this anthology. It’s perfect for those who love historical bodice rippers. This one is NOT on Kindle Unlimited, unfortunately. Each story within this anthology is a winter tale, but not related to each other. But this is the one with the second story in the Duke Dynasty series by Sabrina Jeffries.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
