Shadows in Death by J. D. Robb

Shadows in Death is the 51st book in the In Death series. I’m not sure how J.D. keeps coming up with new cases, but I’ll keep reading them! I’m slowly catching up!

A quote from Shadows in Death by JD Robb

Roarke and Eve attend a play, only to be called away during the final scene to a crime scene. Galla Modesto’s dead body takes precedence on the May 2061 night. While at the crime scene, Roarke spots a face from the past- Lorcan Cobbe. Lorcan believes that Patrick Roarke is his father and despises Roarke. He’s also a professional killer.

It becomes evident to Eve quickly that Lorcan was hired by Galla’s husband, who is a real idiot. While Eve quickly arrests him and breaks him down, the real case is finding Lorcan and stopping him.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In Shadows in Death, Eve must work with an Interpol inspector to help catch Cobbe. Lorcan determines that he will kill Roarke, but of course, Eve and Roarke have something to say about that. Since Lorcan has killed over 440 people, it’s an all-hands-on-deck situation.

Recommendation?

Shadows In Death is NOT available on Kindle Unlimited (I wish!). This story is #51 of J.D. Robb’s In Death series. The person responsible is caught fairly quickly and then it is all about catching the assassin. I love seeing more about Roarke’s background.
