After reading Southern Magic, I had to continue with Pepper’s stories in Southern Spells. It combines two of my loves- fantasy and mystery.

Pepper Dunn learned that she’s a head witch in the first book of the series. She wants to simply learn about her magic and work her store. But now her aunts have come whirling back into the picture.

The aunts bring the Cotton and Cobwebs Festival forward in time. Pepper’s grandmother Betty determines that she will win the award for best magical creature with a little help from her silver-laying chicken. Yet, Melbalean Mayes refuses to let Betty win and gets herself a gold-laying chicken.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Southern Spells, Pepper must help uncover who killed Melbalean when her grandmother becomes a suspect. But she also must keep the town running smoothly. Still, Mr. Sexy- aka Axel is around and will that lead anywhere for Pepper?
Recommendation?
This cozy mystery series (of which there are 26 books! well #26 is coming out this month) is available on Kindle Unlimited. This one sucked me in right away. I love the Southernisms and especially the references to sweet tea.
