I thought it was time for a cozy mystery. I found Sweet Saboteur through Kindle Unlimited. How? I don’t remember. It was probably a suggestion by Amazon.
Scarlett Finch and her two sisters, Violet and Ruby, run the cafe started by their mother. After she died, the girls had to take over, even though it’s really only Scarlett’s dream. But the business isn’t doing so well.
With the death of a town committee member, who was found with cupcakes from the Cozy Cafe, things do not look good for Scarlett and her sisters. Their aunt does her best to help them, but it is not always easy, especially when the mayor seems to have it out for them.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In Sweet Saboteur, Scarlett and her sisters are forced to figure out who is framing them for the murder of the librarian. After the death of the town librarian, Scarlett and her sisters take in the librarian’s cat George. When poison turns up in the Finch’s shed, they even have to shut down the cafe. Will they be able to save the cafe?
There is a definite set up for further books (there are two more in the series) with the introduction of possible love interests for both Scarlett and Violet. Ruby might have one in the offing, but it’s not as clear. This one is available on Kindle Unlimited. Sweet Saboteur is a light, cute, cozy mystery. If you love a cozy mystery, you’ll like this one.

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. This was number 149 for 2021. I have a lot more to write blog posts about. So yes, I have beaten my amount from last year.
