Tempting Fate by Kerrigan Byrne

Tempting Fate is the fourth in the Goode Girl series. This one picks up almost right after where Dancing With Danger left off. This one is also on Kindle Unlimited.

A quote from Tempting Fate by Kerrigan Byrne

Felicity Goode is one of the twin daughters of a Baron, who is also a police commissioner. She’s the introverted, timid twin, but her twin was planning on staying with her and never marrying. However, Raphael Sauvegeau turned that plan on its ear.

We first met Gabriel Sauvegeau in Courting Trouble. It was his and his brother’s gold that Honoria found at the end. Gabriel had spotted Felicity long before then, but he refused to do anything as he believed that he wasn’t worthy of her.

Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)

In the book Tempting Fate, Felicity goes to her brother-in-law’s hospital to thank Gabriel for saving her life. But Titus tells her that he couldn’t retrieve the bullet, intimating that Gabriel died. A year passes. With Felicity’s sisters all married and not to the upstanding citizens that their father would desire, Felicity is now an heiress. She has suitors and is in need of a bodyguard.

Enter Gareth Severand. Felicity bumps into him since she’s lost her spectacles. She hires him to guard her. But what will happen now? Read this one to find out!

Recommendation?

Tempting Fate is on Kindle Unlimited. I had to read about Felicity. I think this is my favorite of the Goode sister books…

My plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. I’m still working on September’s books.
