The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level by Gay Hendricks

My family and I have been traveling for Spring Break, showing my son different college campuses. While driving down to North Carolina, I started reading The Big Leap aloud to my husband. I had read the first two chapters, but thought that it was important for my husband to “read” it too. He loved not having to read it, but just listen.

The Big Leap is a book that you can’t only read once. It also isn’t a book that you should read alone, or rather you should have someone to talk over the ideas of the book with. In fact, I believe this so much that I’ll be hosting a book club for this book in May (more details coming soon).

This book talks about several different concepts, like Upper Limit Problems (and boy, if I don’t have some), Ultimate Success Mantra, Einstein Time, and the Zone of Genius. I think my favorite part is the part about the Zone of Genius. I’ll definitely be rereading this one, just specifically for that section.

The Big Leap is about moving out of your comfort zone and into your Zone of Genius. It’s about finding out how to live your best life and working with your own unique ability. After reading this book, you should find yourself making some changes.

Recommendation?

I loved this book. I’m so glad that I read this with my husband as it talks about not only increasing success, but abundance and love. I think I’ll be rereading it multiple times. It’s so full of great content that it will take a while to unpack it all, which is why I’m planning a book club on Facebook for the month of May so we can work through this book together. I definitely recommend this book.

And in case you hadn’t figured it out, my plan for 2021 is to write a blog post for each book I read. Last year, I read 150 books. We’ll see how I do this year.
