Once I finished with A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire, of course, I had to keep going. Luckily I purchased The Crown of Gilded Bones before I left home. So I plowed right on through this one.
Just like the ending of From Blood and Ash, A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire had a twist and cliffhanger to make you want to read more instantly. I had to know what Queen Eloana meant at the end of AKOFAF. I mean, within the first chapter of the new one, she calls Poppy the new Queen!
Casteel and Poppy married in the last book so this one is all about what happens when Poppy enters Atlantia. She also learns more about herself.
Brief Summary (while trying not to give everything away)
In The Crown of Gilded Bones, Poppy has an interesting connection to the wolven. All bonds between Atlantians and wolven were broken. The Unseen manage to capture Poppy and keep her controlled in a tomb with bones. Will Casteel be alright? Will he be able to save her? Read it and find out!
Oh my, the twists just keep coming. It’s amazing how Jennifer Armentrout has built this world and yet, is still revealing new pieces all the time. So much is revealed through these books. If you’re a fan of fantasy, you REALLY need to read these!
